AMG + Member Day 2025

The Cast Metals Federation (CMF) is inviting members to attend its Member Day and Annual General Meeting on Thursday 20 November at its new home in Dunston Business Village, Penkridge, Staffordshire. 

Running from 10:00am to 2:00pm, the Member Day will bring together members, industry leaders and stakeholders for a packed programme of updates, insights and discussion on issues that matter most to the UK cast metals sector.

CMF Interim Chief Executive Dr Pam Murrell FICME said: This year’s Member Day provides an important opportunity to bring members together, share progress on key projects, and look ahead to future priorities.  

“With updates on policy, industry opportunities and skills, as well as the handover to our new Chair and Vice Chair, we hope members will find it both informative and inspiring.” 

Highlights of the programme include: 

  • The view from the top – reflections from outgoing CMF Chair, Steve Goodier. 
  • CMF projects update – including Landfill Tax, sand reuse, Bref/BAT, and BBM. 
  • The European perspective – energy, CBAM, and more, with Ainhoa Ondarzabal, Secretary General of the European Foundry Federation. 
  • Wind sector opportunities – exploring new growth areas with industry experts. 
  • Casting the Future – a focus on skills, training, and careers promotion. 
  • Meet the team – Q&A and discussion with incoming Chair Russell Gray and Vice Chair Sam Scholes. 
  • CMF Annual General Meeting 2025 

The day will also provide valuable networking opportunities, with time to meet colleagues and continue conversations over refreshments, pastries, and a buffet lunch in the excellent facilities at Dunston Business Village. 

Booking is free for members, but places are limited and early registration is encouraged.
