17 Aug Aerospace and Medical Foundry Joins the Federation

Tecomet is a global supplier of precision engineered medical and aerospace castings.  Their UK facility, in Sheffield, uses investment casting and gravity die casting to produce orthopedic, aerospace and defence components in steel, including stainless steel and cobalt chrome.

Plant Director, Andy Marshall, says, “We are delighted to be joining the Cast Metals Federation as part of our wider support for UK manufacturing.  Our growth trajectory and ambitions for the component and service quality that our markets demand mean that being a member the UK Trade Association makes perfect sense for us.”

Paul Wainwright, Head of Continuous Improvement agrees, saying, “The specific focus on metal casting and foundry processes offered by the Federation will be particularly useful to us as we continue to grow our UK facilities and develop our team.  We look forward to being actively engaged and working with others across the UK castings sector.”

“We are delighted to welcome Tecomet into membership”, says Cast Metals Federation CEO, Pam Murrell FICME.  “The investment casting sector and its supply chain is an important part of the industry in the UK, supplying high quality precision parts to a range of sectors. We look forward to working with Paul and the team at the company as they continue with their expansive plans for development and growth.
