16 Mar Die Caster Norfran Ltd joins Cast Metals Federation
The Cast Metals Federation is delighted to welcome Norfran into membership. The company is a supplier of high pressure aluminium and zinc die castings to international customers from a wide range of industries and sectors, including the automotive sector, parts for white goods, domestic appliances, office furniture and accessories and components for industrial engineering and the electrical and electronic industries. Certified to ISO 9001 and 14001, and with an integrated Quality Environmental Management System, the company can offer fully machined or raw castings, with die design and process optimisation through casting simulation as well as project management.
Welcoming Norfran into membership, CMF CEO Pam Murrell said, “We are delighted to welcome the company into the Federation – at the moment the industry is facing many challenges due to the cost of raw materials and energy, yet as the same time there are many opportunities for the die casting industry due to increased reshoring and light-weighting – so its important that we work together as a sector. Casting still represents a cost effective, near net shape and resource efficient way to make complex shapes.”
Mark Smith, General Manager agreed, saying “Joining the CMF is an important step for us as we seek to engage with the Federation and our fellow members as part of our vison to continuously improve our operational efficiencies and optimise the performance of the business.”
