22 Oct Energy Matters for CMF Members
CMF members were treated to a series of presentations, and a tour of the trading floor, during an Energy Best Practice event hosted by LG Energy covering on all aspects of the energy market and energy procurement, at the company’s premises in Manchester.
Following an introduction by Group Managing Director, Asif Risvi, the members present heard from Dave Loveday, Head of Trading and Risk, about the current market drivers and future global factors affecting the energy markets, before Rebecca Darlington, Reporting Team Leader, and Luisa Fitzpatrick spoke about how the different elements (non-commodity and commodity) make up the cost of energy for business and how the energy market now enables businesses to hedge and manage their energy costs for maximum transparency and to enable budgeting.
Pam Murrell, CMF CEO said, “Many of our members, both ferrous and non-ferrous, large and small, have now signed up to LGE’s offer and are benefiting from the market intelligence, helpdesk and dedicated account management, that are on offer. Today’s event has been very informative and the comments and questions demonstrates the need for us to be able to support our members with their energy procurement as we see costs continuing to rise. I would like to thank the team at LGE for hosting the meeting and continuing to support our members.
