12 Jul New business prospects – the focus for latest CMF member

The Cast Metals Federation is delighted to report that Dyson Diecastings Ltd has become the newest Member of the Federation.

Dyson Diecastings manufactures aluminium and zinc high pressure diecastings for the automotive, electronics, office furniture and sound equipment industries amongst others.  The company has in-house diecast tooling manufacturing capability and machining on site.  First incorporated 97 years ago, Dyson Diecastings today employs around 100 people and is owned by Broadway Stampings Ltd.

The decision to get more involved with CMF was borne out of the desire to gain access to a greater number of customers and expand the potential to develop the customer base.

Sales manager Graham Evans is looking forward to the commercial benefits CMF membership will bring. “We have a large range of tools at Dyson Diecastings to satisfy a wide variety of customer needs and we have a good investment programme but we need to raise our profile and be more visible in front of the customer. The Cast Metals Federation has excellent links to our potential customers and we are excited about how we can work together to tap into this. “In the past twelve months we have developed future plans under our new owners Broadway, which sees us with a clear direction. Our team has been strengthened and we have plenty of skills and capabilities which place us in a strong position to face the future. “This is an exciting time for us and we are keen to grow the business so joining CMF is an important step in the next chapter of the company.”

Speaking on behalf of CMF, CEO Dr Pam Murrell FICME said: “We are so pleased to welcome Dyson Diecastings into membership. CMF is committed to promoting the virtues of UK castings and as part of that we offer members the opportunity to access companies looking to source castings through our ‘search for a foundry’ section of the CMF website – which is often the first port of call for those looking to source suppliers – and through various other initiatives. Raising the profile of UK casting companies is an important aspect of trade association membership.”
