The Cast Metals Federation (CMF) has published an Impact Report for 2024/25, highlighting a year of progress, collaboration and achievement across the UK’s cast metals sector.
From high-profile events such as CASTcon 2025 and the UK Cast Metals Industry Awards, to sustained work in government advocacy, data insight and sustainability leadership, the report showcases how the Federation continues to strengthen the industry’s voice and deliver tangible benefits for members.
Chief Executive Lee Marshall said: “The Federation’s achievements over the last year reflect the strength and resilience of both the organisation and the sector we represent.
“Through events, advocacy and shared expertise, we’ve strengthened the UK casting industry’s collective voice and demonstrated its critical role in a sustainable manufacturing future.
“Our engagement with government and industry partners has ensured that the real challenges and opportunities facing foundries are heard and understood. We continue to influence national discussions on energy, sustainability and industrial strategy.
“Whether through our CASTcon and Net Zero Forum events, or our regional and sector meetings, the energy and collaboration across our membership have been outstanding. These forums don’t just share knowledge – they generate new partnerships, new ideas and new opportunities.”
“As we look to the future, our focus remains firmly on supporting members, attracting the next generation and championing a sector that plays a vital role in the UK’s industrial and environmental ambitions.”
