On Wednesday 1st July 2020 Steve Ripley retired as Managing Director of Skaigh Engineering Ltd. He had worked at Skaigh for over 40 years adding a purpose built, modern, CNC machine shop to the services that the company offers. Family members Tess, Steve’s sister, and brother in-law, Barry are still with the family firm, alongside managers Nick Newman, Mike Harper and Matt Edmondson who have now also invested in the business and joined the senior management team as directors.

Skaigh Engineering Co. Ltd is a second generation, family run, aluminum gravity die casting foundry based in Devon. The foundry was started by George and Joan Ripley in 1966. When George retired, John, Di, Steve and Tess took over the management of the business.

General Operations Director, Nick Newman said, “Steve has been instrumental in guiding the company through many changes and economic challenges whilst making significant investments in the business, and we would all like to wish him well for his retirement. The other directors and myself are excited about the challenge ahead and this opportunity which will allow Skaigh to continue to grow and continue to offer excellent customer service.”
