Alumasc Water Management Solutions (AWMS), part of Alumasc Group, is the latest foundry to join the Cast Metals Federation. The company has an in-house foundry that supports the production of parts for their ‘Rain to Drain’ solutions for water management. The company has been promoting the efficient use, retention, recycling and disposal of water for almost 90 years through a range of brands including: Skyline Fascias, Soffit & Copings; Alumasc Rainwater Gutters & Downpipes; Harmer Building Drainage; Wade Drainage and Gatic Civil Drainage & Access Covers.

“We are pleased to be joining the Federation,” said Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) Systems Manager, Vikki McManus, “so that we can benefit from the networking opportunities available and sharing of information that being a member will enable. I am looking forward to being able to exchange ideas and learn from others from the industry, as well as receive the regular updates issued by the staff at Head Office, to ensure we continue to drive the business forward.”

Pam Murrell, CEO of the Cast Metals Federation said, “We are delighted to welcome Alumasc into membership and look forward to welcoming their staff to our meetings and other events, virtually for the time being of course, but in person in time and once this is possible again. There is a lot for our foundries to be aware of at this time, with some important decisions being made with changes to the way we travel and trade starting to take effect as the UK leaves the EU, not to mention the new ways of working that are being necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. There is now, perhaps more than ever, a need for us to work together to represent and support the castings industry in the UK.”
