14 Mar Drysdale Brothers (Larbert) Ltd has become the latest foundry to join the Cast Metals Federation

Situated in Larbert, Scotland, Drysdale Brothers specialise in volume production of complex finish-machined, pressure-tight castings, up to 25kg in weight, produced in a range of non-ferrous alloys, (gunmetal, aluminium bronze and aluminium) using an automated horizontal greensand moulding line and shell cores with induction melting.  The company also offers casting simulation, pattern tooling, rapid prototyping, machining and pressure testing to customers.

Speaking about the new foundry member, CMF CEO Pam Murrell FICME said, ‘We are delighted to welcome Drysdale Brothers into membership – it is important that we are able to reflect the diversity of the sector and as a non-ferrous volume producer in sand, the company will provide valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges they face.  We look forward to being able to promote their services to end users and castings buyers, as the Best of British Casting, as we do for all of our members.

David Drysdale, MD of the family owned firm agreed, saying ‘ We are looking forward to being able to benefit from the exchange of information and support that will be offered through membership’
