Cast Metals Federation publishes new Handbook of UK Member Foundries.

A new handbook, providing information about all the foundries in membership of the Federation has recently been published by the Cast Metals Federation, CMF.  All the companies are listed alphabetically with a short description of their capabilities and full contact details.

Speaking about the new publication, Pam Murrell, CEO of the CMF said, “Many people we speak to just don’t realise that we still have many companies all around the UK who are able to make highly engineered cast components, supplying the rest of the manufacturing supply chain.  From large, highly automated foundries casting in aluminium, zinc, steel or iron, to small jobbing foundries providing bespoke components and small series runs, not to mention those supplying the art market, which is still an important customer for the industry – our members use die-casting, investment casting, casting in sand or using additive manufacturing techniques to optimise the production process from concept to fully machined components.”

The Foundry Members Handbook is available for free to engineers, users and designers of casting – contact the Cast Metals Federation for more details and to order your copy.
