Sheffield Forgemasters

Sheffield Forgemasters has an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes of delivered products and a maximum casting size 16 metres × 7.6 metres × 4.6 metres.

We can produce a maximum black casting weight: 350 tonnes for carbon and low alloy steels, converting 600 tonnes of liquid steel.

For stainless steel casting we can make a maximum of 100t black casting weight converting 200 tonnes of liquid steel.

We have several 100 tonne ladles and heat treatment furnaces with ancillary water quench facilities.

Our In house engineering design team uses Magmasoft computer solidification system with an onsite patternmaking facility including CNC manufacture.

We also have in house inspection including ultrasonic testing, MPI and dye penetrant and a dedicated test-house.
