19 Aug Foundry & Fabrication (Totnes) Ltd joins the Cast Metals Federation

Foundry & Fabrication is the latest foundry to join the Cast Metals Federation. Based in the South West, the company is the largest aluminium foundry in the area and has over 50 years’ experience in producing quality aluminium castings for a variety of customers and applications including marine, rail, telecommunications, defence and energy.

The company uses gravity die casting, greensand and airset sand casting with a fully equipped machine shop enabling Foundry & Fabrication to manufacture fully machined components as well as offering painting, anodising and powder coating.

Pam Murrell, CEO of the Cast Metals Federation welcomed the newest foundry into membership, saying: “I am delighted that Foundry and Fabrication have joined – the company was already engaged with the SHIFT initiative that we administer, and which focusses on H&S, but now that they are a Member of the Federation I look forward to meeting them and being able to support and represent them alongside all our Members.

Rafal Ciechacki, Foundry Operations Manager for the company agreed, “I am looking forward to meeting other members and being able to network through the regular regional and sector meetings as well as benefiting from the range of services that we will be able to access through our membership.”
