The programme included:
Dr Harriet Howe, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) – The latest status and actions required on the EU exit, trade matters and Rules of Origin. Changes to the Customs Declaration Systems (CDS) from current system in place (CHIEF), covering customs and the borders and actions that businesses importing/exporting need to take now.
Paul Cornick, University of Birmingham – Science 2 Industry, Support business in solving industrial based challenges.
Marion Doherty, Department for International Trade (DIT) – Update on the wide-ranging services available to our members.
Peter Wilding, FBC Manby Bowdler Solicitors LLP – Implications of Brexit to manufacturers and their businesses, to prepare for the worst and plan for the best scenarios.
