This chart lists both the Carbon and Low Alloy Steels and Nickel and Cobalt Base Alloys appearing in BS 3146 Parts I and II and indicates comparable specifications. The information is for guidance only and has been complied, in the main, on the basis of comparable chemical analysis ranges. It is important therefore, that all other relevant factors should be considered separately. It should also be noted that the overseas specifications quoted are not necessarily standardised as cast materials.
