15 Nov The Cast Metals Federation represents British Castings at international Oil & Gas supplier event

The CMF represented  the ‘Best of British’ castings at a recent UK Export Finance event held at the ICC in Birmingham.

Over 200 companies attended the event to hear about the current opportunities to supply the new Duqm Oil Refinery project in Oman. The £15 Billion project has been split into three EPC packages, and attendees heard from Petrofac, CB&I, Saipem, Daewoo, Samsung and Tecnicas Reunidas who are responsible for completing the three stages of the project.

Attendees heard presentations from the 3 companies explaining the current opportunities to supply products and services, and how potential suppliers could register to work with them on this and future projects.

The UK Export Credit Agency, UK Export Finance, explained that they are financially supporting the whole project, including any future supply chain contracts, and emphasised that at least 20% of the total project must be supplied by British companies for the project to qualify for the available support.
