15 Dec CMF website: working to promote UK industry
Following a significant investment in its website during 2016, CMF members are now seeing the benefits of this in increased levels of enquiries for castings. In a three month period this autumn, there were over 10,000 unique page views of the CMF website, by almost 3000 individuals. Almost 70% of these were by new visitors to the website.
Speaking about the revamped site, CMF CEO Pam Murrell said, “I am particularly pleased that the ‘Find a Foundry’ search facility is being so well used by visitors to the website – this was something that we hoped would happen and now almost 30% of visitors are using this facility and being able to use the search criteria to find a castings supplier that meets their particular requirements and source castings from our member foundries in the UK. This is on top of others contacting us directly in the office by phone or email.”
The CMF is also preparing a number of short case studies showcasing applications of castings to potential users and castings designers and these will be available on the website early in 2017.
