Compensation for the Indirect Costs of Renewables Obligation and Small Scale Feed-In-Tariffs

Guidance and application forms have now been published on the Compensation Scheme

Foundries are now included in the list of eligible sectors include (via NACE Codes):

  • 2451 – Casting of Iron
  • 2452 – Casting of steel
  • 2453 – Casting of light metals
  • 2454 – Casting of other non-ferrous

However those companies in the eligible sectors then need to pass the Business Electricity Intensity Test – which requires showing that ‘their implied mean electricity cost amounts to 20% of their mean Gross Value Added (GVA)’.  This will be established using company data from the last three years.
